Migraines
Criteria For Diagnosis
Patient must have at least 5 attacks with the following criteria to be classified as having migraine headaches:
- pulsating quality
- pain intensity: moderate or severe
- aggravated by routine physical activity
3. At least one of the following symptoms occurs:
- nausea/vomiting
- photophobia or phonophobia
4. Not caused by another disorder or diagnosis
- Headache lasts 4-72 hours
- At least 2 qualifying pain characteristics:
- pulsating quality
- pain intensity: moderate or severe
- aggravated by routine physical activity
3. At least one of the following symptoms occurs:
- nausea/vomiting
- photophobia or phonophobia
4. Not caused by another disorder or diagnosis
